Brighton Digital Festival
Partnership at the cutting edge
In 2016 I had the pleasure of being assigned Festival Photographer for the Brighton Digital Festival. During the four weeks it ran for, I captured a many and varied events — from Harry Clayton-Wright's risqué performance through sound installations at Onca Gallery to music performances at the Dome and Patterns, and VR Lab at the Old Market.
Below is a small selection of stills from those events. Some of the images were featured in the Brighton & Hove Independent, and used for the next BDF festival's digital and printed marketing.

From then, our partnership developed into sonic media. I was fascinated by all the amazing minds and artistry that made up the festival, and wanted their voices to be further amplified beyond its calendar confines. Working together with the BDF team, Totally Radio and Fugu PR, in 2017 I trialled a 4-part podcast mini-series This Side of Reality, which explored digital life in more depth at live recording sessions with a small audience. That year I also took a moment to capture some luminous staff photos for the BDF team (keep scrolling).
