Enchanting Forest
A journey through the landscapes, stories and music of Sussex.
Enchanting Forest brings together artists, conservationists and musicians under the canopy of one idea: we are all part of the same fabric and need to look after it — nature, people and culture.
Created with Forests Without Frontiers, this 20-min documentary features poetry and folk music inspired by the landscape, winding through the majestic woods of Ebernoe to the abundant rockpools of Rottingdean.
Enchanting Forest is the third film in Nicoleta Carpineanu's landscape trilogy, following Interbeing (2022) and Wings Over Mountains (2025).
The challenge in building the film narrative was harmonising a large volume of voices into a singular story (we started with 42 interviews). The reward was a sold out event at the Brighton Corn Exchange and a feeling of shared connection with the film's ideas.
The film is currently in the festival circuit.
