Design Museum director Tim Marlow explores over half a millennium of exceptional art at Sotheby's Summer Season exhibition.
Highlights include abstract masterpieces by Wassily Kandinsky, Cy Twombly and Peter Lanyon, figurative works by Pablo Picasso, Lucian Freud and Edward Burra, alongside an array of other ground-breaking works by Banksy, Jean Dubuffet, Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Edgar Degas, L.S. Lowry, Peter Doig, J.M.W. Turner, Jan Brueghel the Elder and Sir Anthony van Dyck.
A whirlwind of a project, this 56-minute film was shot, cut, graded, finished and delivered within three days. The on-site grade is entirely focused on reproducing the gallery-lit artwork as faithfully as possible, often at the expense of experts' skin tones.
